Our Founder: Pioneering Success in Migration Law

The principal solicitor and funder of our firm is Damindi Senanayake who has been in Migration Law practice for over 17 years and has been a registered migration agent. She has been admitted to practice as an Australian Legal practitioner since 2006. She holds a Master's Degree in Law from Monash University, Australia in 2002. Prior to stepping into practice as a lawyer in Australia, she worked as a Legal Research assistant and tutorial instructor in Law of contracts at the Faculty of Law at Monash University.  

Damindi was admitted to practice as an attorney–at–law in Sri Lanka in 1997 and has also been licensed as a Nortey pubic and a company secretary since then. As a practising lawyer in Sri Lanka, she has worked in the major private sector banks as a Legal Officer where she gained valuable insight into many ears of Commercial Law. Thereafter she worked at the Attorney General’s Department of Sri Lanka working in the area of criminal Law as a state attorney with extensive experience in abduction, wrongful confinement, torture and murder.  

In Australia, Damindi worked in several boutique Law firms in Melbourne and gained experience in Conversing, Family law, Migration, Last Wills and probate matters. 

Currently, as the principal solicitor of the Aus- Asian Migration & Legal Consultants for the last 17 years Damindi is managing all aspects of our law practice, starting from client interviews, drafting submissions, and preparing applications, to appearing before tribunals, courts and necessary authorities. Damindi has had a very successful career as a Lawyer and she has a long list of successful and happy clients. Damindi is very approachable and friendly and clients can feel at ease always. 

Our firm professionally briefs barristers in the areas of law when necessary and where more expertise is needed. Working as instructing attorneys on those matters, our firm works very closely with the barristers and the clients.
